We will see a tropical wave move over us today giving us increased rain chances for the next few days.

Scattered storms have already begun and will continue today in the afternoon.  We could see some heavy rain at times.

"The deep tropical moisture from the wave will be over us all weekend," WWL-TV meteorologist Dave Nussbaum said.  "The upper-level low will sit just off our coast and it will help to set off more scattered storms with heavy rain on Saturday and Sunday."
