Gary Woodland beats Brooks Koepka by 3 strokes to win the U.S. Open

Gary Woodland won his first major golf title by winning the U.S. Open on Sunday. 

Woodland beat two-time defending champion Brooks Koepka by three strokes to get the victory in Pebble Beach, California.    

With the victory, Woodland denied giving Koepka the chance to become the first man to win three straight U.S. Opens in more than a century.

The 35-year-old Woodland, shot a two-under-par 69 at Pebble Beach Golf Links to win his first career major victory.
