While folks have been enjoying lower humidity today, tonight and tomorrow morning is when it will really, finally, feel like fall.

"Really it’s the first significant cold front and it crossed the state yesterday," said Louisiana climatologist Barry Keim. "It's ushering the first taste of fall weather yesterday, and the beauty of it is that this weather is going to persist through the week."

The front's cooler temperatures begin tonight, and by the time most people are waking up tomorrow morning, temperatures will be in the 60s south of the lake, and in the 50s on the Northshore.

Tomorrow's high is forecast in the upper 70s.
