The French Quarter Festival today announced final details of this year's spring fling. The April 11-14 event will bring a record number of debut acts among its 1,700 Louisiana musicians, organizers said.

"This year we’re shaking things up with a new stage, more headliners, and recycling," said Emily Madero, President and CEO of FQFI. "Our Chevron Evening Concert Series brings more headliners to the streets of the Quarter and a new stage on the Moonwalk will expand riverfront entertainment."

The fest this year is also looking to reduce its waste footprint, with a recycling program introduced last year during Satchmo Summerfest.

"Our new recycling program helps us achieve our mission to instill increased pride in the community, and attendees can support the effort by purchasing a limited-edition reusable festival beer cup," said Madero.

The festival added a stage this year, the Pan-American Live Insurance Group Stage, at the Moonwalk, with performances starting Saturday April 13.

The updated iPhone and Android French Quarter Festival app goes live tomorrow, March 22. Click here for the complete music schedule.
