Four arrested in deadly fight on Northshore sandbar

St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's deputies have arrested four people so far in a fatal weekend brawl on a sandbar in the West Pearl River.

Pearl River resident Thomas Jones was booked today on one count of disturbing the peace, in connection with the fight that resulted in 46-year-old Jeffery Howell's death. The coroner ruled the death a homicide and said that Howell died from blunt force trauma to his head.

Twenty-one-year-old Cameron Alphonso and 20-year-old Blane Manalle face second degree murder charges. Alden Kindergran was booked with disturbing the peace.
