Florida to bring best defense LSU has seen yet

The LSU Fighting Tigers are getting ready for their second ranked opponent of the 2019 football season -- the seventh-ranked Florida Gators. After weeks of seeing the Tiger offense score an average of 55 points per game, the scoreboard may not light up the way fans are used to seeing it.

Not even ranked Texas was much of threat to LSU's offense, but #7 Florida plays better defense than any team the Tigers have faced so far

"I think their front seven is just really physical and they really get after you, and as I mentioned, they're getting after the passer, they're forcing turnovers," said WWL.com LSU columnist Jeff Palermo. "They haven't really faced anyone that's going to challenge'em. Joe Burrow has had time to throw, wide receivers have been running wide open."

Jeff says LSU's offensive line will need to stiffen up and rise to the challenge.

"This is something totally different from what LSU has been facing," he said, "and I think LSU's offense has really been on easy street."

But he says the Tigers can get yards and points, maybe in the thirties, as long as they win the battles up front.

LSU is favored by about two touchdowns.
