After another somewhat chilly Saturday morning, look for a mostly sunny afternoon as we begin a wonderful weekend.

Highs this afternoon were expeted to warm to the mid-60s

A few more clouds will appear Sunday, and we'll see a bit more humidity, as we reach 78 or so for the high

WWL-TV local weather expert, meteorologist Chris Franklin, says an approaching cold front will trigger a 40 percent chance for scattered showers and a few thunderstorms Monday afternoon.

"Temperatures will likely climb to around 80 degrees before falling on Tuesday," says Franklin. "A beautiful few days for the middle of next week before the Gulf muggies return by the end of the week."
