Fatal crash caused SB Causeway to be shut down for 3 hours
Woman stopped in lane when she was rear-ended and killed

The Southbound side of the Causeway has reopened after a fatal crash caused the bridge to be shut down this afternoon heading in that direction.
Authorities described the crash as "severe" and said the accident happened around mile marker 4 or about 4 and 1/2 miles.
A driver having possible car problems was rear-ended by an SUV causing the SUV to flip in the crash.
The woman driving the car had stopped in the lane when she was hit from behind, according to authorities. The woman died in the crash.
The accident happened around 2 p.m. and shut down the SB Causeway for about 3 hours.
Northbound Causeway had just reopened minutes earlier from another crash where, in that incident, another disabled vehicle was struck.
3 people were hospitalized but are expected to be okay according to Causeway GM Carlton Dufrechou. Northbound Causeway had been closed for over an hour.
