The Krewe of Endymion has unveiled new high tech lighting for the parade in 2019.

"New and upgraded state of the art LED and fiber-optic lighting and special effects!" the super krewe raved in a news release.  "See the new Grand Marshal float featuring 250,000 synchronized LED’s on massive curved video screens!"

Endymion says other highlights include:

  •  New special effects on the amazing Triple SS Eddie that makes its paddle wheel look like it is actually pushing through the water!
  •  The Calliope now features smoke billowing from it with new, colorful lighting!
  •  High powered automated searchlights throughout the route beaming the Endymion Mascot on the clouds and surrounding buildings!
  •  The ETV float featuring 20’ x 9’ video screens beaming video of revelers as it rolls down the route!

WWL's Scoot got a sneak peak of the floats.

Endymion rolls the Saturday before Fat Tuesday (March 2nd) through the streets of Mid City and into New Orleans CBD before parading through the Superdome for the Endymion Extravaganza where special guests Lionel Richie, Chicago and Flo Rida will perform.
