Easter weather: Low humidity and temps in the 70s

Next storm chance not until Thursday

We have clear skies and low humidity for Easter.

"A tad warmer than yesterday, but still sunny and pleasant with low humidity!" according to WWL-TV Meteorologist Chris Franklin.

Today's high will be around 78.  Muggy air starts to return as we move into the work week.

"High pressure at the surface will begin moving more to the east, which switches our winds to a more southeasterly direction off the Gulf. This will lead to a slow increase in humidity," Franklin explained.

Afternoon highs will climb back into the 80s starting tomorrow.

He says our next rain chance comes later in the week.

"An upper disturbance is already over the western US. This will trigger our next chance for showers and storms on Thursday. We'll keep an eye out if any of these have the potential of becoming strong to severe."
