The city of New Orleans this afternoon announced that it's okay for drivers to park their cars on neutral grounds and sidewalks, to reduce the risk of flooding their vehicles in heavy rains related to Tropical Storm Harvey.

A text alert from NOLA Ready says vehicles must not block streetcar tracks or intersections.

The city also cautions drivers not to drive on flooded streets, and to call 911 to report street flooding.
