New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees may be in the last year of his contract, but he says there's no team he'd rather be with than the Saints.

NFL.com reports Brees told the hosts of the "Hardwick & Richards" show on KLSD-AM in San Diego that he's not concerned about his contract because "right now I'm in the moment, I'm in 2017."

Brees said he hasn't approached the team about his contract, which expires after this season.

"I don't plan on leaving New Orleans ever," Brees said. "We just have a great understanding here. Listen, we're going to go through this season and we'll revisit it in the offseason. Right now, I'm in the moment."

While Brees has not been posting his typically gaudy passing stats this season, he hasn't needed to, as the Saints have won seven straight with him at the helm of an offense that boasts an improved running game. That offense is complemented by an improved defense that is holding opponents to an average of 18.3 points per game, and fewer than 15 points per game during the team's current streak.
