New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees is the NFC Offensive Player of the Week. Brees not only set a new league record for career touchdowns at 541, his 29 completions out of 30 attempts set a new single-game completion percentage record of 96.7 percent.

Brees passed up Peyton Manning on the all-time list for career touchdowns with his third score of the night, then added one more. His 29 completed passes totaled 307 yards, and bested the previous single-game completion percentage set by San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers 28-or-29 (96.6 percent) performance last year.

This is the 25th time Brees has been named Player of the Week.
