Covington convenience store brawl leads to six arrests

A brawl outside a Covington convenience store Tuesday night ended with three people injured and six under arrest, including a 16-year-old juvenile.

Covington Police Department say officers were dispatched to the ISTOP Grocery on N. Columbia Street Tuesday night around 7:35 p.m. when the fight broke out.

Three people were taken to the hospital after the fight. Two had minor injuries and one suffered multiple stab wounds.

Six people were arrested, including a 16-year-old juvenile. The other arrested ranged in age from 29 to 43. Charges include Resisting an Officer, Aggravated Battery, and Aggravated Assault.

A gun and shell casings were recovered at the scene, but no one appears to have been shot during the fight.

The investigation is ongoing. Additional charges are pending and more arrests may follow.
