Cops have arrested a man they say set another man on fire, killing him.

"An unidentified male was discovered burning in the 4600 block of Chef Menteur Highway," according to a news release. "A passing motorist saw the victim on fire and called 911 at 11:34 a.m."

Witnesses say the victim was completely engulfed in flames.

"The victim died at the scene."

People at a nearby gas station tried to put out the fire, but it was too late.

They also pointed out the suspect to officers.

Witnesses say the alleged killer told them the victim gave him lice.

Both men were reportedly homeless and sleeping on cardboard boxes behind a vacant store.

Prison records show 52-year-old David Klein is being held on a charge of 2nd degree murder.
