Some frost greeted folks away from the city this morning.

"You will want that heavy coat this morning with the chilly temperatures in the 30s north and 40s south," WWL-TV Meteorologist Dave Nussbaum said. "We will see plenty of sunshine with cool high temperatures in the mid 60s today."

He says tonight will be clear and chilly again.

"Lows will be in the 30s north with patchy frost, so protect your plants, and we'll be in the upper 40s south."

Nussbaum expects more of the same for the middle of the week.

"The pleasant weather continues on Wednesday as a weak cold front moves by just NE of Louisiana. This front will help to keep the cool weather around for another day with highs in the mid 60s. It stays chilly on Wednesday Night with frost lows in the upper 30s north and in the upper 40s south."

We warm up to 70 Thursday.
