New Orleans District Attorney Leon Cannizzaro's office has refused to bring charged against three U.S. Marines and a Tulane ROTC student accused of raping a woman last spring.

The alleged crime happened April 15 at a female students apartment on South Claiborne Ave. The victim says she and a friend met two of the men at a bar Uptown and went to the student's residence.

WWL TV says that NOPD confirmed that two women were in a bar on Broadway near campus and left at 2:00 a.m. after "reportedly consuming many alcoholic beverages."

Police say a short time later, a group of men arrived took turns having sex with the drunk the victims.

A spokesman for the D.A.'s office says they gave careful consideration to the evidence produced in the NOPD reports, and conducted several interviews with the parties involved, before deciding to reject the case.
