The Little League World Series Champions received a heroes welcome today at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport.

The team's tremendous victory has both coaches and players on cloud nine and loving all the support.

Assistant coach Kevin Johnson, says they kept stressing confidence.

"These kids have played at the highest level of baseball their whole lives, they've had great coaches and we just kept stressing that,'' Johnson said.

Star pitcher Egan Prather was asked about his future: high school, college ball?

''I just want to keep playing baseball for as long as I can,'' Prather said.

Louisiana U.S. Congressman Steve Scalise loved the win.

"These 10, 11 and 12-year-old kids just made our community proud and we have a lot to celebrate," said Scalise.

Scalise says he helped secure a visit to the White House after talking with President Trump.  The date is not set right now.
