The two suspects wanted in a shooting on Canal Street the afternoon of Sunday, September 23 are in custody. New Orleans Police say the U.S. Marshals Service in Tennessee arrested Byron Wilson and Derrion Robinson in Franklin, Tennessee.

"The U.S. Marshals Service in New Orleans and the NOPD VOWS Unit developed information that traced the pair to Franklin, Tenn.," police said in a news release. "That information was then sent to the U.S. Marshals Middle Tennessee Joint Fugitive Task Force."

The pair are awaiting extradition.

Two people were injured in the incident. Police say Robinson directed Wilson to open fire after an altercation among a group of unknown individuals.
