Even though LSU has a bye this week, there are lots of games going on with post-season implications.  Georgia plays Florida this weekend, and the winner of that game is historically in the SEC championship game.

“Look out West: there is a showdown with two games, USC vs Oregon, and Utah vs Washington,” said WWL NFL and college football analyst Mike Detillier. “A loss by Oregon and Utah would basically knock out any chance for some Pac 12 team sneaking in to the final four.”

Although it is not unusual for the Tigers to have a bye before facing Alabama, the Saints bye week is usually a little earlier in the season.

There are some important NFL games to watch, too, beginning with San Francisco vs Arizona on Halloween night.

“In the NFC South, the Carolina Panthers play the Tennessee Titans, that’s and interesting game; and then you are always looking for a team that is playing at a high level and could be a number one seed, and that’s the Green Bay Packers.”

The Packers will be visiting the Los Angeles Chargers.

Even though the Saints and Tigers are off this weekend, the Who Dat Nation and Tiger fans have a lot to keep up with. It’s likely not much will be checked off of the honey-do list this bye week.
