Nearly three years into nonstop service between Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport and London-Heathrow, British Airways is adding a flight to that schedule. The British flagship airline will make round trips six days a week.

The airline began service from London to New Orleans with four flights weekly in March of 2017, and added a fifth flight in October of that year.

Airport officials have been looking for opportunities to grow international service. Earlier this year, they announced direct flights to Montreal, Canada to begin this month on Air Transat.

Several airlines also offer seasonal service to Caribbean destinations such as Cancun, Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, and Panama.
