Saints quarterback Drew Brees says the team has agreed to a united demonstration prior to the playing of the national anthem Sunday when they take on the Dolphins in London.  Brees announced the plan on Twitter.

"As a way to show respect to all, our #Saints team will kneel in solidarity prior to the national anthem & stand together during the anthem."

That follows the example set by the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football.

Saints Coach Sean Payton said Thursday that the team would discuss how to best handle the controversy surrounding the protests during the national anthem.

A reporter asked, "Do you anticipate that there will be a requirement that they will stand?"

Payton replied, "I wouldn’t know that, in other words I think that would be a question for Mr. Benson or a question for someone else, but I think we will have a plan, in regards to, how we are going to handle it."

Last Sunday ten Saints players took a seat or otherwise demonstrated during the national anthem.

Safety Kenny Vaccaro led the protest.  He said it was against "social inequality and police brutality."
