Bo Pelini is coming back to be the defensive coordinator for head coach Ed Orgeron, on the LSU football team.

"No specifics on a deal, I can tell you though that he will be the next defensive coordinator at LSU."

WWL.com, LSU Analyst Jeff Palermo reports Pelini and LSU have agreed that Pelini is leaving his head coaching job at Youngstown state to return to the Tigers where he was defensive coordinator under former coach Les Miles and helped LSU win a national title.

Palermo says Coach O set his sights on Pelini and has made it happen.

"Really he's been the only name that has been mentioned."

He says it is a good move for the Tigers.

"Bo Pelini is familiar with the inner workings and what is going on at LSU," Palermo pointed out. "He's been here before, he's won a national championship at LSU."

He says it is a good move for Pelini too after falling off the radar of major college football programs.

"He's realized that LSU is a good spot for him and his family."

Palermo expects Pelini to be on the recruiting trail for LSU very quickly.

He anticipates they can get at least a couple of good years out of Pelini.
