About two dozen barricades went up around the Jefferson Davis monument in Mid-City.

The barricades went up just after midnight, after hundreds protested, both for and against the removal of the statue, Monday night.  At times things got heated among the protesters.

Several were arrested although it is unclear if anyone was booked.

Some even burned Confederate flags, an illegal offense under Louisiana law.

The Jefferson Davis statue is one of three still slated to be removed, although no timeline has been given as to when that might be.

The Liberty Place monument is the only statue that has come down so far.
