New Orleans Police officers say an argument over debt and a borrowed umbrella led to an armed hold-up in the St. Claude neighborhood.

Police say the 20-year-old victim was talking to the suspect late yesterday morning in the 2100 block of Desire St. when the suspect, a 23-year-old only known as "Robert," asked about money she owed him, then asked about an umbrella that belonged to his mother.

"She told him she will go get it when she felt like it," according to the NOPD incident log. "The suspect then produced a gun, took her wallet and cell phone and told her when she give him his mother’s umbrella back she can then have her belongings."
