The heat will be on again Monday with temps in the upper 90s and a heat index in the triple digits.

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory from 10:00am to 8:00pm.

"Oppressive heat and humidity stretch on through this week," according to WWL TV Meteorologist Alexandra Cranford. "High pressure will stay in control, so we're in for more weather like we had over the weekend."

She says Southeast Louisiana will see near-record high temperatures.

"Heat indices will climb to around 110 degrees each afternoon, or even a bit higher in spots."

There could be a few showers and thunderstorms.
