Another hot and humid start to the week. More Saharan Dust expected for Tuesday but clears out for the Fourth of July weekend.

WWL-TV’s Dave Nussbaum says, “A ridge of high pressure will sit over the Gulf of Mexico today and that will keep southerly winds over us. A weak trough of low pressure will move by just north of Louisiana this afternoon. This will set off spotty showers and storms. Some heavy rain is possible. It will be a hot and humid day with highs in the lower 90s. It will feel like 100-105. Tonight will be mostly cloudy and muggy with lows in the 70s north and south.”
