After tonight, drier weather coming for the weekend into next week

A gradual drying trend will continue after tonight.  St. Patrick's Day will be clearing with cool temperatures.   

"More sunshine on the way for Sunday, St. Patrick's Day with morning temperatures in the 40s with highs only in the mid 60s," said local weather expert WWL-TV meteorologist Chris Franklin.

Cloudy, breezy and chilly with a 20% chance for showers until Noon. Highs around 58. Wind N 8-15 mph.

SUNDAY - ST. PATRICK'S DAY:
Partly cloudy and cool. Lows north around 43 and south around 48. Highs around 64. 

MONDAY:
Mostly sunny and pleasant. Lows north around 44 and south around 50. Highs around 68.

TUESDAY:
