A 16-year-old student at Hammond High School is under arrest for threats made on social media that forced the school to close for two days.

WWL-TV reports the teen has been booked on a charge of communicating false information of a planned bombing on school property.

Searches of the school revealed no actual danger. Classes are expected to resume tomorrow.
