Heavy showers and thunderstorms today led to street flooding in New Orleans, as the city's drainage system worked to keep up.

"We have 107 of 120 pumps," said Paul Rainwater with the New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board. "Pump station three, we had two pumps go down, A and B, due to a frequency changer issue, which was giving us half the power we usually get out of it, so we have teams on site right now looking at that and figuring out how we can work around that."

Rainwater says overall the system is in better shape than it was in August, when a handful more pumps weren't operating, but it's still not 100 percent.
